Palm Bay man shot while riding gas scooter, victim identified

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne police have released the identity of a man shot and killed early Tuesday morning as Kyeon Rashad Roberson, 28, of Palm Bay.

Police said the shooting happened around 12:26 a.m., when police located Roberson near Grant St. and Ryoland St. and discovered he had crashed his gas scooter after being shot.

Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have not been able to identify or locate a suspect at this time.

Detectives and CSI are investigating this case as a homicide.
