An overturned vehicle slowed traffic on the westbound Southern State Parkway in Wantagh Sunday morning, as tens of thousands of people were expected to attend the nearby Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach State Park.

New York State Police said the injuries sustained in the 7 a.m. crash at the Wantagh Avenue exit were not life-threatening.

All lanes were open less than an hour later, state police said. The accident occurred just west of Route 135.

The second day of the air show begins at 10 a.m. Sunday. Areas of fog are expected to give way to partly sunny skies with a high temperature of around 71 degrees at Jones Beach today.

A crowd of 171,000 attended the first day of the show on Saturday, watching the Blue Angels close out the day.

The Memorial Day weekend extravaganza, which runs until 3 p.m., features dazzling stunts, military demonstrations and vintage performances from World War II aircraft. It's the 20th anniversary of the show.
