OSWEGO COUNTY – On May 9, 2024, State Police in Hastings arrested Joshua M. Sprague, 41, of Hastings, New York, for Criminal Sexual Act 1.^st diploma (class “B” felony) and illegal publication of an intimate image (class “A” misdemeanor).

These charges were the result of an investigation that Sprague forcibly engaged in sexual conduct with a 42-year-old woman and posted intimate photos of the victim on a social media page without her consent.

During this investigation, two additional female victims came forward regarding more allegations of sexual offenses occurring between 2017 and 2024 at multiple locations in Oswego County.

On May 24, 2024, Joshua M. Sprague was arrested for rape 1^st degree (class “B” felony) and criminal sexual act 1^st diploma (class “B” misdemeanor).

Sprague was arraigned at SP Hastings, arraigned in Oswego County CAP Court, and remanded to Oswego County Jail.

Additionally, based on Sprague allegedly committing first-degree sexual offenses against more than one victim, he is also charged with one count of predatory sexual assault, a class A-II felony.

Investigators believe there may be more victims and are asking anyone with further information about Joshua M. Sprague to contact state police at Troop D headquarters in Oneida at 315-366-6000.
