Oswego County man arrested on multiple sex offense charges

On May 9, 2024, Hastings State Police arrested Joshua M. Sprague41, from Hastings, New York, for Criminal Sex Act 1^st diploma (class “B” felony) and illegal publication of an intimate image (class “A” misdemeanor).

These charges were the result of an investigation that Sprague forcibly engaged in sexual conduct with a 42-year-old woman and posted intimate photos of the victim on a social media page without her consent.

During this investigation, two additional female victims came forward regarding more allegations of sexual offenses occurring between 2017 and 2024 at multiple locations in Oswego County.

On May 24, 2024, Joshua M. Sprague was arrested for rape 1^st degree (class “B” felony) and criminal sexual act 1^st diploma (class “B” misdemeanor).

Sprague was processed at SP Hastings, arraigned in Onondaga County CAP Court and remanded to the Onondaga County Justice Center.

Additionally, based on the fact that Sprague allegedly committed first-degree sexual offenses against more than one victim, he is also charged with one count of predatory sexual assault, a class A-II felony.
