OnPoint range | Man injured in accidental shooting at Raleigh shooting range; second in 3 days

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — An employee at a Raleigh shooting range was injured Sunday afternoon after an accidental shooting.

The Raleigh Police Department (RPD) said officers responded to calls about a shooting just after 3:30 p.m. at OnPoint Range on Spring Forest Road.

Police said the shooting happened inside the store.

One employee was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Onpoint released a statement on social media following Sunday's incident.

“Today, an OnPoint employee suffered a minor injury during training that caused a temporary interruption of operations. The employee is expected to make a full recovery and no one else was injured. In accordance with our protocol, we informed 911. We would like to thank Raleigh EMS and the police for their support.

The RPD said there was no criminal investigation into the incident.

The shooting comes days after a man was seriously injured in a shooting Friday at the same shooting range.

Raleigh police have not released the condition of the man in Friday's shooting.

Police are not looking for any suspects in either shooting.
