A Baltimore City Circuit Court judge denied bail for defendant Elijah Stanley, charged with attempted homicide, in connection with a shooting that injured a man near McElderry Street and of North Montford Avenue in March.

During their investigation, Baltimore police found city surveillance footage showing four suspects shooting the victim at the intersection of the 2300 block of McElderry Street and the 600 block of North Montford Avenue on 2 March. Three of the four suspects, armed with rifles and shotguns, were seen getting out of a rental Audi Q5 and opening fire on the victim, while the fourth suspect fired shots from the driver's side of the car.

Police stopped the same car two days later and took the driver, later identified as Stanley, for questioning.

On May 24, Judge Anthony F. Vittoria denied the 20-year-old defendant bail. Stanley, represented by defense attorney Daniel Mooney, is currently charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, use of a firearm in commission of a felony or a violent crime and conspiracy to commit first degree murder.
