One man fatally shot, 2 stabbed and airlifted after fight in Napa County

(KRON) – A Bay Area man was fatally shot and two others were airlifted to a local hospital with stab wounds Saturday after what authorities are calling a “chaotic scene.” Henry Wofford of the Napa County Sheriff's Department told KRON4.

At 5:30 p.m., Sheriff's Office officials reported a “large fight” in the 5500 block of Knoxville Road in Lake Berryessa in Napa County. Authorities found a man suffering from fatal gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Wofford said.

Several people present at the scene were injured by stab wounds, but the number of victims remains uncertain. Wofford, however, reports that two stabbing victims were flown to nearby hospitals and several others were transported to hospitals by car.

Around 9:30 p.m., investigators were still present on the scene to question witnesses. The area is currently cordoned off.

The cause of the fight is unknown at this time. The condition of the stabbing victims has not yet been announced, Wofford told KRON4.
