One dead, three injured in shooting

One person was killed and three others injured in a shooting in Tampa Sunday morning, authorities said.

According to the Tampa Police Department (TPD), around 4:40 a.m., officers received a 911 call regarding a shooting at 11606 McKinley Drive.

When they arrived, the police spotted two vehicles being shot at in the parking lot.

A total of four people were injured in the shooting. One person was pronounced dead, three other victims are being treated in hospital. Their condition was considered stable.

The slain victim is believed to be Charles Jones, 26, police officials said. The positive identification is pending confirmation from the medical examiner's office.

Jones was also known as the rapper Foolio, according to his attorney Lewis Fusco of the Fusco Law Group in Jacksonville.

Police are investigating the cause of the shooting and working to identify the suspects involved. TPD has not confirmed the identity of Jones' rap.
