Oklahoma State player Ollie Gordon II arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence

Oklahoma State star running back Ollie Gordon II was arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol outside of Oklahoma City, according to multiple reports.

Gordon was pulled over by an Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) officer early Sunday morning for driving 82 mph in a 65 mph zone and swerving oncoming traffic, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by multiple media outlets.

During the traffic stop, the officer found open bottles of vodka and tequila in Gordon's car, and Gordon said he had “one drink,” according to KOCO, the ABC affiliate in Oklahoma City, which obtained the affidavit.

Gordon was then taken to the Cleveland County Jail in Oklahoma, where he provided breath samples that registered a blood alcohol level of 0.11 and 0.10. Gordon was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol under the age of 21, possession of an open container of alcohol, failure to maintain a single lane of traffic and speeding, according to KOCO. He was released on bail, the report said.

A spokesperson for the Oklahoma State University athletic department said: The Athletic that the university is aware of the incident reports but had no comment as of late Monday evening.

Gordon was named a first-team All-American in 2023 and received the Doak Walker Award, given annually to the top fullback in college football.
