OKCPD Sgt. arrested for rape in McClain County

An Oklahoma City police sergeant was arrested Saturday in McClain County on several charges, including rape.

MCCLAIN COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) – An Oklahoma City Police sergeant was arrested Saturday in McClain County on multiple charges, including kidnapping and rape.

Records show OKCPD Sgt. Ryan Stark was arrested shortly after noon in Blanchard on charges of domestic assault and battery, first degree rape, threatening to commit an act of violence, kidnapping, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and disruption, prevention or interruption of an emergency telephone call. .

Sergeant Stark rose to fame in 2014 after his dog, Kye, was stabbed to death after a high-speed chase. Stark opened fire and killed the suspect at the time, 22-year-old Mark Salazar. Sergeant Stark was ultimately cleared of all charges after the District Attorney's investigation.

It is unclear what led to Sgt. Rigid's arrest Saturday. KFOR has contacted Blanchard police and the McClain County Sheriff's Office and is awaiting a response.
