COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A man accused of using hidden cameras to record an underage child inside his home will spend up to six years in prison.

According to court records, Brian Trissel, 52, of Westerville, was charged with two counts each of lewdness toward a minor, tampering with evidence and voyeurism; he pleaded guilty in April to one count of each charge, and in exchange for his guilty plea, the other three charges were dropped.

A judge sentenced Trissel to four to six years in prison on pimping charges; two years for the tampering with evidence charge; and a year for voyeurism. All prison sentences will be served concurrently.

Additionally, Trissel will be on probation for five years following his release and must register as a Tier II sex offender.

According to Grandview Police, a complaint was received on August 30, 2023 that a young girl discovered what appeared to be hidden cameras inside her home. She told another person, who reported her discovery to the police.

Police said cameras were found in locations “that would allow them to be captured in a private setting and in various states of nudity” and that numerous recordings of the victim were allegedly made over an extended period of time.
