NYPD seeks public's help in identifying suspects in string of Manhattan robberies

NEW YORK, New York — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating suspects involved in a series of robberies at Eleganza 66, located at 3776 Broadway in the 33rd Precinct.

The first incident occurred on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at approximately 1:20 p.m., when two unidentified men entered the store. They threatened a 19-year-old employee and demanded marijuana from her. A suspect, referred to as individual #1, simulated possession of a firearm in a schoolbag and then fled with merchandise worth $400.

The second event, an attempted theft, took place on Saturday June 1, 2024 around 9:40 p.m. The same suspect from the first incident entered the store alone, threatened a 30-year-old employee and partially removed the handle of a firearm from his satchel before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported in either incident.

Individual #1 is described as a dark-skinned man, aged 20 to 30, approximately 5'10″ tall, of medium build and sporting a goatee. Individual #2 is also a dark-skinned man , aged 20 to 30, approximately 5’8″ tall and of slim build.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
