NYPD seeks public's help in identifying man who stabbed bus driver in the neck

The NYPD is asking the public for help in identifying a man accused of assaulting an MTA bus operator on duty in Brooklyn.

According to the New York Police Department:

“An unknown male individual engaged in an argument with a 60-year-old MTA bus operator on duty while riding a B99 bus on Pitkin Avenue near Alabama Avenue. The individual then stabbed the operator in the neck with an unknown sharp object.

The suspect fled on foot westbound on Pitkin Avenue.

Bus operation is in stable condition at Brookdale University and Medical Center.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or leave a tip on the Crime Stoppers website.
