FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Fayetteville judge says he has sentenced five members of a northwest Arkansas drug trafficking ring.

According to a press release, Judge Timothy L. Brooks sentenced the last member of the group last week. The members were federally charged and convicted. The sentence ranges from 6 years to 19 years.

Kevin Michael Burke, 37, of Bryant, was sentenced to more than 19 years in prison. He was convicted of distributing a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to three years of supervised release.

Destiny DeAnne Satterfield, 25, of Springdale, was sentenced to more than 6 years in prison as well as three years of supervised release. She was convicted of possessing a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

The Drug Task Force opened an investigation into a drug trafficking organization in early October 2022, according to court documents. The DTF investigated a group responsible for supplying methamphetamines to northwest Arkansans.

“During their investigation, investigators identified five individuals responsible for distributing large quantities of methamphetamine throughout the Western District of Arkansas,” a press release states.

The 4th Judicial District Drug Task Force assisted in the investigation.
