North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue mourns the loss of Division Chief Charles Full

Members of the North Myrtle Beach Fire Department are mourning the death of Division Chief Charles Full.

Charles Full died Thursday afternoon following a medical emergency at his home, the North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue Department announced on Facebook.

Full began his career with North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue in February 2007 as a firefighter and EMT.

In November 2008, he rose through the ranks to Fire Lieutenant and served in that position until his promotion to Division Chief of Fire Training in July 2021.

Prior to working for the department, he served as deputy district fire director for the New Jersey Wildland Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife and two children.

“We not only lost a member of our department today, we lost a friend and a brother to all of us,” the fire department’s message read. “We ask that you continue to keep the Full family and our NMB Fire family in your prayers.”

Several agencies took to social media to share their condolences.

In a post, Horry County Fire Rescue announced they are offering resources to the department during this difficult time.

The agency said: “Our deepest, heaviest hearts are with you, NMBFR! »

The Myrtle Beach Fire Department said, “Our hearts go out to the Full family and the entire NMBFD during this painful time. »

We're told funeral arrangements are pending and should be announced once finalized.
