Nicki Minaj's upcoming show in Amsterdam has been canceled, after she was arrested last Saturday in the Dutch capital for allegedly trying to smuggle “soft drugs” out of the country.

THE Trinidad-born rapper and singer was forced to cancel a concert in Manchester the same evening, after being detained at Schiphol Airport for around six hours.

After paying a fine of 350 euros (£300), she was allowed to fly to the UK.

The 41-year-old star performed at Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome on May 23 and was due to play at the same venue this Sunday, but concert organizer Mojo said the concert would no longer take place “due to current events.” last week.” .

The US-based celebrity, known for the songs Starships, Super Bass and Anaconda, called his treatment at the airport 'disgusting' and said she was treated differently because of her race.

A spokesperson for the Dutch military police – who deal with all incidents at the airport – told Sky News that Minaj's arrest was “normal procedure when someone tries to pass through border control with drugs in his luggage.

Minaj live-streamed her arrest on social media and claimed the drugs found in her luggage did not belong to her.

A statement on the promoter's website said: “Due to the events of the past week, Nicki Minaj's show on Sunday June 2 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam will no longer take place.

“Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”

The rescheduled Manchester concert at the Co-op Live Arena will take place on Monday evening.
