Nicki Minaj arrested for allegedly 'carrying drugs' in Amsterdam amid Pink Friday 2 world tour

Nicki Minaj was reportedly arrested in Amsterdam on Saturday (May 25) on her way to a concert in the United Kingdom.

The “Super Bass” rapper captured the incident in an Instagram Live video that was later posted. reposted by his fans on social networks. In the clip, an Amsterdam official is heard saying he wants to arrest Minaj for “transporting drugs,” despite her claims that she had no contraband.

“I’m not going into that. I need a lawyer,” Minaj, 41, responds to authorities, who repeatedly ask her to get into a vehicle and stop recording.

Minaj was scheduled to perform at Co-Op Live in Manchester on Saturday night as part of her Pink Friday 2 tour. In the video, another officer is heard referring to the concert, saying authorities would “try to get her there” as soon as as possible.

Promoter Live Nation said Minaj's Manchester performance would be postponed and original tickets would be honored, according to a statement provided to The Associated Press.
