A state trooper stopped Pinkham's vehicle on Interstate 95 in Sherman on June 4.

During the stop, Pinkham allegedly attempted to dispose of the suspected fentanyl, the release states.

Pinkham was arrested and the vehicle searched by the police officer and MDEA agents.

“During the search, more than 1,300 grams (2.8 pounds) of methamphetamine and more than 3.5 grams of fentanyl were discovered,” the release said. “The vehicle also contained a locked container, for which officers subsequently obtained a search warrant. Inside the container was an additional 441 grams of methamphetamine, bringing the total quantity seized to more than 3.8 pounds. The street value of the seized methamphetamine is more than $150,000.

The Aroostook County Sheriff's Office assisted with the arrest.

Pinkham was taken to the Aroostook County Jail and charged with aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs, two counts of unlawful delivery of Schedule W drugs, two counts of possession illegal Schedule W drugs and operating without a license.
