NH man charged in alleged assault of 4-year-old boy

A Nashua man has been indicted on multiple first- and second-degree assault charges in connection with an alleged assault on a 4-year-old boy. A Nashua man has been indicted on multiple first- and second-degree assault charges in connection with an alleged assault on a 4-year-old boy.

Jose Gurley was arrested in Maine in January after Nashua police said they found the child with serious head and facial injuries in a Myrtle Street apartment.

Nashua police said at the time that Gurley was dating the boy's mother.

According to court documents, Gurley fractured the boy's nose, finger and left cheekbone. Court documents also say Gurley slashed the boy's ear, forehead and kidney. Ultimately, court documents say Gurley pulled the boy's hair and left him with a scalp injury.
