Newton County Sheriff's Report for Tuesday, May 28, 2024 | Civic events

Calls for Service (May 20, 2024 – May 26, 2024): The Newton County Sheriff's Office (NCSO) responded to 67 calls for service.

Jail Transports: NCSO had 3 prison transports;

1 from NCSO to JCSO, 1 from NCSO to Beauregard, 1 from NCSO

Prison population: We currently have 25 prisoners in the following prisons:

4 housed in Newton, 11 housed in Beauregard and 9 housed in Jasper, 1 in a mental health facility.

Deweyville: civil matter, officer assistance x 4, welfare concern x 2, additional patrol, disturbance x 3, alarm, harassment x 2, theft, suspicious activity, missing person (located)

Newton (Unincorporated Boundaries): Trespass, Disturbance, Alarm, Harassment x 2, Officer Assist x 2, Theft, Sanity, Suspicious Activity

Burkeville: civil wait, aggression, terrorist threat

Toledo Bend: noise complaint, welfare concerns, reckless driving, disorderly conduct

Call: harassment, additional patrol, assistance to another agency (pursuit)

Trout Creek: Officer Assistance

May Flower: Accident

Wiergate: Disruption

Shankleville: intrusion x 2

Bleakwood: criminal mischief, theft, assisting an officer x 2, harassment, welfare concern, noise complaint

Buckhorn: suspicious activity

Pine Grove: noise complaint, disturbance x 3, officer assistance

Belgrade: suspicious activity

Singletary sites: intrusion

Old Salem: suspicious activity, harassment
