Hoovler said it was alleged during the trial that Baltimore made threats against people in the DuBois Street area of the city of Newburgh around 1 a.m. on July 11, 2023.

Baltimore then allegedly fired a loaded 9-millimeter handgun five times at those people. However, the bullets hit a vehicle in the area and the people were unhurt.

“We will not stop searching for dangerous weapons in the hands of dangerous criminals,” Hoovler said in a statement released by his office. “This hard-won conviction underscores our commitment to keeping our communities safe by identifying and holding accountable those who illegally own and use firearms.”
