New York police search for man who allegedly stabbed woman in Manhattan

MANHATTAN, NY (PIX11) – Police are searching for a man who allegedly stabbed a woman in the back Saturday in Manhattan.

The alleged attack happened around 10:55 a.m. at Saint Nicholas and West 111th Street.

The suspect approached the 55-year-old victim and stabbed her in the lower back with an unknown sharp object, according to the New York Police Department.

The victim was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital.

No arrests have been made as of 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Police said the suspect was last seen wearing a black hat, light-colored shirt, blue pants and white and black sneakers.
