New Jersey man sentenced to lengthy prison term starting January 6, 2021

A New Jersey man received one of the longest prison sentences to date… following the January 6, 2022 riot at the United States Capitol.

According to the Associated Press, defendant Christopher Joseph Quaglin argued with and insulted U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden during the trial and after being sentenced to 12 years in prison for attacking U.S. Capitol police officers. United.

Quaglin was described as an electrician from New Jersey.

McFadden called Quaglin “a threat to our society.”

Quaglin called McFadden “Trump's worst mistake of 2016.”

Former President Donald Trump nominated McFadden to the federal bench in 2017.

The federal government has indicted more than 1,000 people for various crimes…and hundreds (so far) have been convicted.

The Capitol riot has become a political flashpoint for the 2022 midterm elections and, as the November 6, 2024 presidential election draws closer… it will undoubtedly be used by both parties as a political issue.

Wikipedia describes it like this:

On January 6, 2021, during the counting of the Electoral College votes for the 2020 United States presidential election, a pro-Trump rally resulted in a mob that violently stormed the Capitol.

The protests of January 6, 2021 are a direct example of how states in America, almost 50-50 split, can see the same thing so differently.

Some speak of insurrection, siege or riot.

The other side calls it a protest.

November 6, 2024 will decide the direction the United States of America will take.

For the first time in a long time, the two choices are almost opposites.
