New details: stabbing at Rogers gas station

During the man's 911 call, he allegedly admitted to stabbing Limson an unknown number of times with a “calm tone of voice.”

ROGERS, Ark. — A man arrested for allegedly stabbing and seriously injuring his co-worker at a Rogers gas station is now being held on $1 million bail.

According to a report from the Rogers Police Department (RPD), officers were dispatched to the Kum & Go on West Pleasant Grove Road around noon on June 6 after receiving a call from a man who said he “just stabbed his colleague several times” the head and face. »

When they arrived, police said they found Samuel Paul Pletcher standing outside, dressed in a Kum & Go uniform, and took him into custody before going inside to check on his co-worker.

Officers found Ashley Limson in the back of the store, sitting in the cooler, holding paper towels to the side of her face, police said. His shirt was “completely soaked in blood.”

A knife was also reportedly found in the cooler.

During an interview with Pletcher at the police station, he reportedly said he wanted to have a lawyer present before “immediately stating that he 'stabbed' her… beyond that, he wanted to 'plead the fifth '”.

Security footage from inside the gas station allegedly showed Pletcher following Limson into the cooler while holding a knife, before fleeing seconds later.

During Pletcher's 911 call, he allegedly admitted to stabbing Limson an unknown number of times with a “calm tone of voice” that he maintained until officers arrived on scene.

In an interview with Limson, she allegedly told police that she and a manager had reprimanded Pletcher for poor job performance the day before the attack.

Pletcher was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail by RPD on June 6 and, according to court documents, was charged with attempted capital murder.
