The New Albany Police Department is asking for the community's help in locating a missing 14-year-old. Police say Andre Edwards Jr. was swimming in Silver Creek near Providence Way on Monday. Witnesses told police that Edwards went underwater and did not resurface. New Albany police and firefighters, along with Clarksville police and firefighters, along with the Indiana Conservation Bureau, responded to the scene around 4 p.m. to search for the boy. Research is still active. Edwards is described by police as having curly shoulder-length blonde hair and was last seen wearing blue shorts.
