The shooting happened just before 2:30 p.m. near 60th and Oklahoma.

Two children, a 4-year-old and a 9-year-old, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two adults were also taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The shooting scared the neighbors.

Tracy Fronczak lives just yards from where police say the gunmen shot at the car.

“It’s not what you normally see in this neighborhood,” Fronczak said. “It's frightening.”

She now worries about her son and the other children who live in the neighborhood and pass by the gas station every day.

“It’s scary because there are tons of kids,” Fronczak said. “There are tons of kids in this neighborhood. There's a family of three kids over there. Kids over there. Kids across the street. Kids two apartments over. Kids next door. There are kids all over this neighborhood on scooters and bikes.”

Surveillance video obtained by TMJ4 shows three people running in the parking lot of the apartment complex behind the gas station. The video shows two people carrying guns.

Milwaukee police continue to search for unknown suspects.

Tracy shared a message for those responsible.

“I just hope you're found and I hope you go to jail, and I hope you're punished for what you did,” Fronczak said. “You hurt innocent children. You hurt innocent adults and you could have hurt a lot more people.”
