Weather KOAA

A heat advisory will go into effect for parts of southern Colorado and the Denver metro area starting at 11 a.m.

A few high-altitude storms could bring a brief shower of rain to mountainous areas today, but with dry air near the surface, gusts and erratic winds are more of a concern than anything else. This will include areas near the Oak Ridge Fire! Most of the day, wind gusts near the fire will only reach around 20 mph, blowing from the northeast to the southwest. However, any storms developing in the fire area could bring brief bursts of stronger winds, making firefighting conditions difficult.
