Nashville singer-songwriter Terri Lynn Kathey is missing

Friends and family are asking for prayers after Nashville-based singer-songwriter Terri Lynn Kathey passed away over the weekend.

The gospel and blues singer – who has also performed under the name Terri Lynn Blues – and her husband, Nashville-based drummer Kevin Kathey, own a courier service. According to family friend Kerry Pharr, Kathey left the house around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, June 16, to pick up a package on Music Valley Drive near the Opryland Hotel in Nashville.

She used her debit card at Hardee's on nearby Elm Hill Pike around 6:30 a.m., Pharr tells Taste of Country. The package was bound for Chattanooga, but Kathey never got there.

Police intervened after her worried husband reported her missing and discovered her phone had last rung on a tower on Monteagle Mountain, Tennessee. There has been no further phone or card activity from Kathey since.

Kevin Kathey drove around Monteagle Mountain looking for his missing wife since she disappeared, but found no trace. In a Facebook post Monday (June 17), Pharr said Kathey had only slept two hours over the past few days.

“Please pray!” he urges in his message, also encouraging people to call Nashville police or himself if they have any information.

The couple is deeply rooted in the Nashville music community. In addition to Terri Lynn's singing career, Kevin Kathey is a well-known drummer who has performed with Charlie Louvin, Tommy Overstreet, Emmylou Harris, Joey + Rory and more, according to LinkedIn. He also owns Next Exit Productions, which produces music and voiceover sessions.

A number of friends and colleagues in the Nashville music community shared Pharr's original link, asking for prayers and additional information.
