Nashville man accused of extorting porn from Tuscaloosa teen

A Nashville man was arrested and jailed in Tuscaloosa after allegedly coercing a local minor into sending him explicit photos and videos.

According to court documents obtained by Thread, the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force launched an investigation in April after a Tuscaloosa mother contacted police about her child's interactions on a popular messaging app.

Police said Addison Lee Cook, 32, a Nashville man, was in regular contact with a local teenager and often requested sexual photos and videos from the child and allegedly exposed the victim to his own nudity.

Cook also allegedly threatened to share previously sent material with others if the teen did not continue to send him more content.

On Monday, the investigation led police to arrest Cook and charge him with four crimes related to the allegations.

The Nashville man is charged with sexual extortion, producing pornography with a minor, electronic solicitation of a minor and transmitting obscene material to a child.

He is being held without bail in the Tuscaloosa County jail, although his attorneys have filed motions asking for bail to be set.
