My favorite thing about Breath of the Wild is all of the open mini-worlds it inspired, and another one just hit Steam with near-perfect reviews.

Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip continues my favorite trend started by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Breath of the Wild spread its DNA into countless other open worlds after its debut, with its unbridled freedom and open-ended objectives appearing in many other games. But my favorite thing about Nintendo's risky sandbox is how it inspired the fluid, lighter open worlds seen in A Short Hike, Sand, Alba and more.

Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip takes that baton and runs wild with it, letting you get lost in a smaller world with one solid goal to achieve: driving to space, seriously. Terry is a strange little guy whose only goal in life is to improve his new car until it's fast enough to zoom through the stratosphere – and that requires a lot of reckless paragliding, bullying and stealing car, which also makes it an inadvertent shot at The Simpsons. & Follow up.

As was the case with A Short Hike, the lack of handholding opens the door to nothing but exploration for Terry as he travels through town collecting trash for his taxi and interacting with the wacky locals who are usually slightly bothered by his presence.

Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip was released only a few days ago on May 30, but it's already earned a “very positive” rating based on Steam user reviews. Many players raved about the game's carefree and serious sense of humor, as well as the incredible soundtrack and collectathon-style loop.

The game is usually available on Steam for £15/$17, but an introductory offer reduces that to £12/$14.
