Some 220,000 people came to see the American pop icon at Edinburgh's Murrayfield stadium between Friday and Sunday, an average of 73,000 people each evening.

And as the 34-year-old headed north for her appointments in the UK, Swifties showed their appreciation by dancing and tapping their feet loud enough for the British Geological Society to catch minor movements at ground.

“If you can imagine, you have 73,000 people concentrated in one place – jumping, clapping, dancing,” said Sophie Butcher, a volcanologist from Edinburgh who was in the crowd on one of the dates.

“On top of that, there’s a big bass sound system. All that energy travels through the ground,” she said, as reported by the Times.
