Multiple suspects arrested after high-speed chase in Los Angeles and Orange counties

Multiple suspects were arrested after a high-speed chase in Los Angeles and Orange counties Friday evening.

The suspects were initially wanted for reckless driving, according to Los Angeles police.

In a blue sedan, the suspect reached speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour on the highway, at times narrowly missing nearby vehicles.

The pursuit began around 8:20 p.m. out of the Los Angeles port area on the 110 Freeway before heading toward Long Beach. The driver took Highway 605 and merged onto Highway 405 into Orange County.

They exited onto MacArthur Boulevard in the Irvine/Santa Ana area, eventually entering the lower level of John Wayne Airport.

They eventually stopped and were arrested outside the airport's Terminal C area shortly before 9 p.m. It is unclear how many people were inside the vehicle.

Sky5 video of the chase shows a heavy law enforcement presence around the parking lot and airport entrances.

Eventually, the suspect's car was taken out of the airport by police. They were seen examining the vehicle while it was parked on a nearby side street.

Footage of the chase can be seen in the video player above.
