Multi-State Human Trafficker Arrested | Texas

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma — An individual responsible for trafficking multiple victims across multiple states is now behind bars after a five-month investigation.

The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) Human Trafficking Unit conducted a recovery operation in McClain County in February, which led to the arrest of Carey Lee Holt, age no specified, from Enid, Oklahoma. “The McClain County victim's testimony, along with evidence from the OBN investigation, determined that Carey Lee Holt used violence and coercion to traffic multiple women in Oklahoma, as well as in other states,” said OBN spokesman Mark Woodward.

The investigation resulted in an arrest warrant for Holt on charges related to human trafficking and other offenses. Oklahoma City police arrested Holt on Tuesday, June 25, and found him in possession of a firearm. OBN Director Donnie Anderson emphasized the agency's commitment to stopping predators who exploit vulnerable people. “I am proud of the exceptional work our Anti-Human Trafficking Unit agents have done over the past several months to track down this individual who trafficked victims in multiple states. I am also grateful that the victim found in the McClain County has been reunited with his family and is receiving help,” Anderson said.

Anyone with information about suspected human trafficking can report it anonymously to OBN's Human Trafficking Tip Line at (855)-617-2288 or send a direct message on Facebook .
