MPs continue to track down teenage girl missing since May

ROCKFORD, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies have released new information as they continue their search for a missing Cedar Springs teenager.

On Wednesday, the Kent County Sheriff's Office said Penelope “Penny” Wise, 17, was seen around midnight on Saturday, June 1, near a bar in Rockford. She was caught on camera walking alone near the Corner Bar in Rockford, according to deputies. The bar is located near N Main Street and Courtland Street.


Since June 1, MPs say Wise has not been seen.

According to the sheriff's office, she ran away from her family home near Morley Park in Cedar Springs on the evening of May 31. Around 6 p.m. that day, she was spotted on surveillance video on Rockford Park Drive, near Northland Drive. In the video, she is wearing a pink tank top and shorts.

According to the sheriff's office, Wise is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She has blond hair and braces.
