Motorcyclist killed in Southeast Portland crash identified

A motorcycle crash that occurred Wednesday in Portland remains under investigation and no arrests have been made.

A motorcyclist who died in a crash Wednesday evening in Southeast Portland has been identified by police as Phillip P. Taylor, 22, of Happy Valley.

The crash happened shortly after 11 p.m. at Southeast Flavel Street and 112th Avenue, where police said Taylor, driving a 2023 Harley Davidson Softail, struck a 2006 Ford Focus driven by a woman from 66 years old.

Police said the women were taken in an ambulance to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and were later questioned.

The crash remains under investigation and no arrests have been made.
