Motorcyclist killed in Montgomery County crash identified

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Maryland (DC News Now) — On Monday, Montgomery County police identified the man who died after a motorcycle accident on FDA Boulevard Saturday.

Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) officers responded to the intersection of FDA Boulevard and Cherry Hill Road shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday for a single-car crash.

MCPD said the motorcyclist, Angel Eduardo Avila Lopez, 23, of Rockville, was heading east on FDA Boulevard toward Cherry Hill Road when he struck a curb and a traffic light support pole. traffic. Police said Lopez was thrown from his motorcycle.

Paramedics took him to hospital, where he died.
