Mother of Pune teenager, who hit 2 technicians with Porsche, arrested

In the latest development in the Pune Porsche accident case, the Pune police have arrested the mother of the teenager accused of knocking down two people while she was driving the luxury car. The mother exchanged her blood sample to prove her son was not drunk at the time of the accident, police said.

Superintendent of Police Amitesh Kumar said investigation into the accident revealed that the minor's blood samples were replaced with those of his mother.

Two technicians were killed on May 19 in Pune's Kalyani Nagar after a Porsche, allegedly driven by the drunk miner, rammed into their two-wheeler.

While the 17-year-old minor was sent to an observation home, his father and grandfather were arrested for allegedly kidnapping the family's driver and pressuring him to take responsibility.

The investigation revealed the efforts made by the influential family to cover up the crime. They first tried to convince the family driver to take responsibility for the scary accident instead of money. When he denied it, they kidnapped him and forced him to confess.

There were also irregularities in the medical examination of the 17-year-old at the government-run Sassoon Hospital and the Maharashtra Medical Education had appointed a three-member committee headed by Dr Pallavi Sapale, dean of Mumbai-based Grants Medical College , to investigate. the question.

The teenager's mother had earlier appeared in a video message in which she said a viral video featuring her son was fake. She had also called on the police to “protect” her son and broke down on camera.

Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Kostha, 24-year-old engineers from Madhya Pradesh, were killed when a speeding Porsche hit their bike on May 19. The teenager, suspected of driving the car drunk, was released on bail within 15 hours with conditions. widely described as fragile: he was asked to write a 300-word essay, told to work with traffic cops for 15 days, and to seek treatment for his drinking.

Amid growing outrage, the Juvenile Justice Board changed its order and sent him to an observation home until June 5, while a decision is made on the police request to obtain authorization to try the adolescent as an adult.
