Mother finds her daughter's missing dog on Facebook

After going missing, this dog is thrilled to be back home with his family. His owners are also delighted! Azia Bradley shared on TikTok that her family's beloved dog, Duke, got lost almost a year ago. They probably didn't think they would see him again one day! However, thanks to someone on Facebook, they were able to reunite with their four-legged friend.

In a sweet video, Azia shared the heartwarming moment she and her children were able to see their missing dog for the first time. One of her daughters was overcome with emotion when she saw Duke. She cried in disbelief before crouching down for cuddles and kisses with the puppy.

“When your dog has been missing for almost a year and mom finds him on Facebook,” Azia wrote under the video.

Duke looked incredibly happy to see his two-legged siblings again. In fact, he was so eager to get some petting that he almost knocked one of the little ones over!

“AS SOON as her little human appeared you could see her excitement,” one commenter wrote on the video.

” I have the chills ! » exclaimed another. “I’m so happy he’s back home and safe. »

What to do if you find a lost dog?

Azia and her family must be very grateful to the people who found their missing dog. Duke's story is a wonderful reminder that we should all know what to do if we come across a lost dog! Fortunately, the American Kennel Club has some excellent tips for dealing with this situation.

For example, it is extremely important to make sure the dog is happy for you to approach him before you reach out. Go slowly and let the animal's reaction guide your next move. Some dogs may not want you to approach them, in which case you should not force things.

Here's another great tip: If you bring home a missing dog, don't let him get too close to your other pets. If they have any diseases or parasites, they could pass them on to your four-legged friends. You wouldn't want that! Instead, take the dog to the vet immediately and make sure he's healthy before letting him roam all over your house.

Apparently, social media is a very useful way to contact the owner of a missing dog, especially if you can't find a phone number or no one answers. Whoever posted the information about Duke on Facebook obviously had the right idea!
