More victims identified in child exploitation investigation

The Clark County Sheriff's Office has identified more victims in a child exploitation investigation.

An Oregon City man is currently facing multiple charges related to the sexual exploitation of children. According to the office, Jamil Holbrook was arrested last week.

Deputies say he is accused of taking inappropriate photos of a child at a Salmon Creek daycare. Officials told KATU he was also in possession of other images of children he was babysitting. These victims have been identified. Authorities are awaiting his extradition to Clark County. Once there, he will face additional charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.

“I felt like I had a knot in my stomach, like if I had to say something, I had to do something, otherwise what was happening to the little girl I was?” Holdbrook's cousin, Tessa Riggs, tells KATU.

She says she tried to warn authorities last year about her cousin, alleging she knew something was wrong. “I want the justice system to do what it does best and fight for these victims. »

Officials are in contact with other law enforcement agencies in Oregon and Washington for crimes Holbrook may have committed in different jurisdictions.
