More rape claims surface against Alexander brothers, lawyer says

At least 28 other alleged victims of the Alexander brothers have raised similar allegations of rape and sexual assault against broker Oren Alexander and his twin brother, according to the attorney who filed the original lawsuits.

The influx of alleged victims comes after two lawsuits were filed in New York accusing Oren and Alon of raping at least two women more than a decade ago, which The real deal was the first to report. The claims were filed under the Adult Survivors Act, which temporarily waived the statute of limitations on civil sexual assault claims in New York.

“I've spoken to about 15 people who told me they were raped by the Alexander brothers, one (brother) or more, at different times, in New York, in South Beach and in other states as well,” he said. declared Evan, partner of the firm. Torgan said TRD. Torgan later updated that number to 28, including conversations he and his partners had with alleged victims.

Torgan said he first spoke with the alleged victims after TRD's reporting on the lawsuits filed against Oren and Alon Alexander, a security company executive. Both are based in South Florida.

He and his other attorneys from the New York law firm Torgan Cooper & Aaron represent the two women in separate lawsuits revealed by TRD earlier this week, which claimed the brothers engaged in a pattern of gender-based violence against women.

The Alexanders' attorney, Jim Ferraro of the Ferraro Law Firm, denied the allegations and called the lawsuits a “shakedown.” Ferraro, Oren and Alon did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Oren and Alon have been the subject of sexual assault allegations dating back more than a decade, according to a lawsuit filed in Florida in 2013. The two brothers sued the anonymous author of a blog, newsmiamiflorida.blogspot. com, and other forum posts for posting “false and defamatory statements” alleging that Oren and Alon had committed rape.

A judge granted a temporary injunction in 2014 requiring the anonymous publisher to remove posts regarding the allegations. The blog was deleted and the case was dismissed in 2016.

No further legal action has been taken to bring sexual assault charges against the Alexanders, beyond the two lawsuits filed in New York. The deadline for defendants to respond to both lawsuits is August 19.

Oren announced on Instagram on Monday that he was taking a “break” from Official, the Side-backed brokerage he co-founded with his brother Tal, Nicole Oge, Richard Jordan and Andrew Wachtfogel in 2022.

Oren's biography has been removed from the official website, but he is still officially licensed, as shown in official Florida licensing records.
