More details emerge from Shepparton drug seizures

Detectives from the Shepparton Criminal Investigation Unit arrested 11 people and seized $600,000 worth of drugs and cash last week.

The cash and drugs were seized during an operation to dismantle suspected major suppliers of illicit drugs in the Shepparton area.

The arrests follow an extensive eight-month investigation during which police believe drugs were being transported from Melbourne and supplied to an alleged drug trafficking network operating in Shepparton.

Among those arrested were eight Shepparton men who have since been charged with drug trafficking, including five accused of allegedly trafficking a commercial quantity.

Shepparton CIU executed 13 search warrants at residential properties and storage sheds in Shepparton and Melbourne on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 June.

784 grams of methamphetamine worth $150,000
4.6 kilograms of MDMA worth $100,000
331 grams of cocaine worth $132,000
2.45 kilograms of cannabis worth $10,000
$150,000 in cash
Other illicit drugs, including GHB and steroids
A pistol and ammunition
Three stolen motorcycles

Police arrested the men below who face drug trafficking charges

A 33-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with eight charges, including trafficking in large commercial quantities of methylamphetamine, trafficking in commercial quantities of cocaine and trafficking in cannabis.
27-year-old Shepparton man faces 10 charges including trafficking commercial quantities of methamphetamine, commercial quantities of cocaine, cannabis, GHB, ecstasy and dangerous driving while pursued by the police.
A 36-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with trafficking in commercial quantities of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of property suspected of being involved in a crime.
A 56-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with trafficking in commercial quantities of methamphetamine and possessing cash and/or property allegedly obtained by crime.
A 23-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with 17 charges including trafficking large commercial quantities of methamphetamine, commercial quantities of ecstasy, cannabis, cocaine, LSD, possession of a handgun, possession of a firearm as a prohibited person and possession of a store firearm without a license.
A 38-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with trafficking in methylamphetamine, possession of methylamphetamine and possession of property suspected of being involved in or obtained through a crime.
A 19-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with trafficking cocaine and methylamphetamine, possession of cannabis and failing to authorize access to a data storage device.
A 25-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, GHB and possession of cocaine.

The police also arrested

A 31-year-old Shepparton man charged with production and possession of cannabis.
28-year-old Reservoir man charged with possession of methylamphetamine, cannabis and valium.
A 33-year-old Shepparton man who has been charged with unrelated matters.

All men accused of drugs will appear in court.
