Monday stabbing victim identified – WOWO News/Talk 92.3 FM, 1190 AM, 107.5 FM and 97.3 HD2

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The victim of a fatal stabbing at a Fletcher Avenue apartment Monday has been identified.

The death of Troy Madison, 62, was ruled a homicide.

Madison is the 17th homicide in Allen County this year.

Our news partners at 21Alive report that court documents show the suspect and victim were arguing about crack cocaine before the incident.

Witnesses and the victim allegedly drank and smoked crack in the apartment before the arrival of Yvonne Broadnax, 47, who allegedly gave the victim $20 for crack.

The victim left and returned a short time later with the $20 bill and no medication.

Police found the victim dead with a stab wound to the neck and Broadnax is in custody.
