Mocksville woman missing. Police believe she could be in danger

A 60-year-old Davie County woman is missing and the Davie Sheriff's Office believes she may be in danger, according to WGHP/Fox8, the Journal's news gathering partner.

An Ashanti Alert was issued Thursday for Cynthia “Cindy” Roberson Gobble of Mocksville.

“There is evidence of physical endangerment, kidnapping or abduction,” according to the alert. The Ashanti Alert is for missing people aged 18 to 64.

Gobble is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing denim shorts, a pink shirt with the Colorado logo on it, and brown sandals.

The suspect is Gregory Wayne Gobble, 59, of Mocksville. He is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall with graying hair, a mustache and a beard. He might be wearing khakis and a white T-shirt.

Authorities said the two men may be in a white 1997 Ford F-250 pickup truck with a North Carolina license plate YV-1974.
