TODAY: Mix of sunshine and a few passing clouds. Very hot, windy and a little humid with highs around 82 degrees. THE UV INDEX: 8 (VERY HIGH). There is a chance for a brief rain shower in Orange, Putnam, Dutchess and Ulster counties late this afternoon and early evening, but most of the day is dry.
