Missouri firefighter arrested in human trafficking case

ST. PETERS, Mo. – Firefighters were shocked to see police appear at a Central County Fire and Rescue station earlier this month.

Police investigators arrived at one of the St. Peters police stations in search of a suspected suspect they recently arrested during a law enforcement sting operation.

This suspect turned out to be a 25-year veteran of the fire department and was arrested and taken away while on duty. Central Fire and Rescue then took his photo and name to the Meet the Team page on their website.

Court records show the suspect is Allan Gacki, who was arrested May 16 as part of a human trafficking investigation by St. Charles police. The St. Charles County prosecutor then charged Gacki with a misdemeanor, alleging that the defendant “offered to engage in sexual activity at his workplace.” He is also charged with a felony after allegedly “offering to deliver (controlled substances) to an undercover detective…”

In this case, the undercover detective was not posing as a minor. The criminal charges relate to a person over the age of 18.

Central County Fire and Rescue declined to speak on camera, but Fire Chief John Schneider wrote to FOX 2 and said, “I have been informed by local law enforcement of an incident involving the one of our employees. This involves certain actions that do not reflect the culture and behavior we expect of our employees. This gentleman is no longer a member of our department. We believe this should not take away from the excellent firefighter paramedics we have.

Gacki was released pending current charges and received a criminal summons on Monday to appear in court on July 26.
