Missing Wisconsin mother and son found dead, hiding on property, subject to homicide investigation

STRONGS PRAIRIE, Wis. (WFRV) – The deaths of a mother and son in central Wisconsin are being investigated as homicides after the The body of one of the victims was found hidden at her home at the end of June.

According to the Adams County Sheriff's Office, deputies found the body of Sharon K. Miller, also known as Sharon Miller-Robinson, during a welfare check at her home on June 27, after Miller-Robinson had not been heard from for several days.


Deputies say Miller-Robinson's body was found “hidden” shortly after law enforcement discovered evidence of “recent ground disturbance consistent with digging or burying something on the property.”

In an initial release, Adams County deputies also asked for the public's help in locating Miller-Robinson's son, Jami L. Lumby, 37. However, in a follow-up release issued Sunday, June 30, deputies provided information that Lumby's body had also been discovered at their residence.

After autopsies were performed on Miller-Robinson and Lumby on July 1, deputies said both deaths were being investigated as homicides and no suspects had been identified.

We have not identified any suspects at this time. As part of this investigation, we have already submitted evidence to the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory to assist in this investigation. If a specific threat to the community is identified, we will immediately notify the public.
