Missing teenager 'known to visit the West Midlands' has not been seen since Monday

Police have launched an appeal to find a missing teenager who has not been seen since Monday. Emanuiel Tanasache was last seen at an address in Leicester on May 27.

Police say the 14-year-old was last seen in the Jarrom Street area around 8 a.m. A number of inquiries have been carried out to try and find the teenager, but it is believed he may have left the Leicestershire area.




Leicester Police say he may have “traveled elsewhere in the UK”, adding that he frequently uses the train to visit the West Midlands. It also uses the rail service to visit Surrey, London and Brighton.

In releasing a photo of Emanuiel, police described him as 5 feet 9 inches tall, of slim build with dark hair. The full appeal, shared on social media today (Sunday June 2), read: “Police are appealing for the public's help to find a missing teenager.

“Emanuiel Tanasache, 14, was last seen at an address in the Jarrom Street area of ​​Leicester at around 8am on Monday, May 27. Since he was reported missing, a number of inquiries have Efforts were made to find Emanuiel, but it is believed he may have left Leicestershire and traveled elsewhere in the UK.

“The teenager has links to the Nottingham area and is known to frequently travel by train to visit the West Midlands and Surrey as well as London and Brighton. Emanuiel is of Roma Gypsy heritage, 1.70m tall, slim and has black hair. He was last seen wearing a black Nike hooded top, black sweatpants and black Nike sneakers. He was also carrying a black crossbody bag.

“Anyone who has seen Emaniuel or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 123 of May 27.”
