Missing Fort Leonard Wood Marine Arrested

Updated 06/12/2024 – The Crawford County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) has confirmed that Kavian Elder is being held in their jail after being arrested.

According to the CCSO website, Elder has been charged with a federal offense.

PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. – Fort Leonard Wood is searching for a 19-year-old Marine who went missing “without a trace,” according to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department.

Kavian Elder has been missing since May 3, 2024. He was attending Fort Leonard Wood MOS School when he went missing, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Fort Leonard Wood officials contacted his family to see if they had seen him or heard from him, but they did not, and there was no sign of him since the beginning of the month, according to the sheriff's department.

Kavian is a black male with brown eyes. He is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds.
