Missing child and teenager in Georgia disappeared five days ago

A toddler and a teenage girl have been missing in Georgia for five days, with no sign of them yet.

Zylani Thornton, 2, and Cerenydi Thornton, 17, were last seen June 7 in Douglas, Coffee County.

The Coffee County Sheriff's Office first shared its appeal to find the two men on Tuesday.

Very little information has been provided about the missing girls, but the sheriff's office said they could possibly be in Valdosta or Tifton.

Douglas is a small town in southeast Georgia, with a population of approximately 12,000.

Valdosta is about 60 miles from Douglas, while Tifton is a little closer, about 45 miles.

News week contacted CCSO via email Wednesday morning for updates, as well as the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

It is unclear what the relationship between Zylani and Cerenydi is and no further information has been provided about the circumstances of their disappearance.

The 17-year-old is described as black, weighing approximately 115 pounds and 5 feet 3 inches tall. No further details were given about the 2-year-old.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children lists 39 children and teenagers missing since the start of the year.

Other cases of missing children

The urgent search for a missing two-year-old Washington girl and her father's fiancée has now expanded Wednesday to several states and internationally.

Family members reported little Seraya Aung Harmon missing on June 3 after her father Aaron Daniel Aung failed to return the child to her mother after his scheduled visit.

Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Aaron Daniel Aung, who illegally retained custody of his daughter Seraya.

The fugitive father is believed to be traveling with his fiancée, Nadia Cole, 21, who went missing at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on May 29.

Police believe the couple may be fleeing to Mexico.

The Texas Department of Public Safety issued an AMBER Alert for six-year-old Kennedy Harrington on Wednesday.

The child was last seen with Deandre Harrington at 7:47 a.m. in the 13100 block of Beals Circle in San Antonio, according to the AMBER Alert. Deandre's relationship with Kennedy is unknown at this time.

The two are believed to be traveling in a gray Malibu or Impala.

Deandre Harrington, 36, is said to have a tattoo of the letter “p” on his wedding finger as well as a tattoo of the letter “J” on his left leg. He is described as a black man with black hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 210 pounds.

Kennedy Harrington is described as having sandy hair and hazel eyes. She is 3 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 60 pounds.
