Midland woman identified as victim of fatal single-vehicle crash Friday south of Fort Pierre

FORT PIERRE (KCCR) — A Midland woman was identified as a fatal crash victim Friday in a crash in Stanley County. The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 63 Barb Ann Stoeser died in a rollover crash at War Creek Road and 286th Avenue Friday afternoon around 1 p.m. The preliminary investigation indicates that Stoeser was driving his 2005 Ford Taurus south on War Creek Road when, for unknown reasons, the sedan left the road and entered the east ditch. Taurus rolled several times to come to rest on its right side. Stoeser was not using his seat belt and died from his injuries in the crash. The accident occurred approximately 13 miles south of Fort Pierre.
